Royal Brackla distillery in Highland, Scotland
Highland, Scotland

Royal Brackla

The King's Own Whisky

Captain William Fraser, a local landowner and farmer, founded the distillery in 1812 near the village of Nairn. The Royal Warrant came after Fraser presented his whisky at court — an audacious move that paid off.

Queen Victoria renewed the warrant in 1838, cementing Royal Brackla's prestige. Today, under Bacardi ownership, it's bottled as part of 'The Last Great Malts' collection alongside Craigellachie and Aultmore.
