Isle of Jura
One Island, One Distillery, One Road
George Orwell wrote 1984 on Jura, drawn by its remoteness and solitude. The distillery was rebuilt in 1963 after years of silence, specifically designed to produce a lighter, more approachable style than neighbouring Islay — the anti-Islay, if you will.
