Samuel Bronfman of Seagram blended 600 whiskies to create the perfect expression for the royal visit. The resulting blend — smooth, elegant, and distinctly Canadian — was packaged in a crown-shaped bottle inside a hand-sewn purple bag. Both the whisky and the bag became Canadian icons.
