Craigellachie
Speyside's Bold Rebel — The Dirty Dram
Founded by Peter Mackie (the force behind White Horse) and Alexander Edward, Craigellachie was built to supply malt for blends. It operated in anonymity for over a century.
In 2014, Bacardi launched Craigellachie as a single malt brand with the tagline 'The Last Great Malts.' The 13 Year Old quickly gained cult status among enthusiasts who craved something different from Speyside.
The Story
Founded 1891
The Craigellachie Style
Sulfury, meaty, and bold — the result of oil-fired stills and worm tub condensers. Underneath the initial punch lies tropical fruit, honey, and surprisingly elegant complexity.
Signature Notes
Craigellachie 13 Year Old
The cult classic — meaty, sulfury, and surprisingly tropical. Speyside's most polarising malt.
