Compass Box

The Art of Blending, Reinvented

Glaser left a marketing job at Johnnie Walker to start Compass Box in 2000, driven by a belief that blending could be elevated to an art form rather than viewed as inferior to single malts.

Compass Box has repeatedly challenged the Scotch Whisky Association — once publishing exact percentages of each malt in a blend, which was technically illegal under labelling laws. The ensuing campaign for transparency made international headlines and sparked industry reform.
