Bushmills

The World's Oldest Licensed Distillery

The licence granted in 1608 covered the entire county of Antrim, though the current distillery dates to 1784. Bushmills has survived fires, wars, and economic downturns to remain one of Ireland's most consistent whiskey producers. Its use of 100% malted barley (rather than the pot still mix used at Midleton) gives it a distinctly different Irish character.
