Benromach
Speyside's Smallest, Handcrafted Spirit
Benromach was silent from 1983 to 1998, when Gordon & MacPhail — the world's most experienced whisky bottler — rebuilt and reopened it. Prince Charles turned on the stills.
The decision to introduce light peat was intentional — reviving a pre-1960s Speyside style when most distilleries used some peat. The result is a malt with more character and depth than many Speyside neighbours.
The Story
Founded 1898
The Benromach Style
Lightly peated (12 ppm) Speyside malt with sherry cask richness. A combination almost unique in the region, recalling a bygone era of Speyside distilling.
Signature Notes
Benromach 10 Year Old
The perfect introduction — lightly smoky, sherried, and complex. A taste of old-fashioned Speyside.
