Akkeshi

Hokkaido's Islay — Japan's Peatiest Distillery

CEO Keiichi Toita was so inspired by Islay that he sought out Japan's most similar environment — finding it in the cold, foggy marshlands of Akkeshi. The distillery releases follow a 24 solar-term calendar, with each bottling named after a seasonal period.
