Akashi (White Oak)

Japan's Coastal Micro-Whisky

Eigashima has been producing sake and shochu since 1679. They obtained a whisky license in 1919 — making them technically Japan's first licensed whisky producer (four years before Yamazaki). But whisky was always a sideline, produced for just a few weeks each year.
